Lavender Cottage

Way back in November I wrote a brief post about our Special Place and I thought it was about time I took you on a little tour.

We purchased the property back in October and decided to call it Lavender Cottage.

Situated in the seaside village of Ferryside, on the wonderful Welsh coast,  it's a three bedroom, end terraced cottage set on a hill with views over the beautiful beach and estuary.

When we bought it we knew that it didn't need a lot of work, just a lick of paint here and there and maybe a bit of a reshuffle in the kitchen (which actually turned out to be a brand new kitchen)!

So over the October half term holiday we set to work.  With the help of our amazing friend Adam, we loaded up a van of all of the furniture we had bought, over the previous months, from auctions, eBay and second hand shops and headed to Wales.

A trip to Ikea Cardiff and another van and car load later and we were almost done. Some construction of furniture, painting of walls and a good old clean and we were ready.

So here it is. Our Special Place.

Since these pictures were taken a new front door, more pictures and accessories have been added to the house, to give an even more homely feel for ourselves and especially our visitors.

It has been available to rent since January and we are really pleased with the number of booking we have received so far and also the great feedback from our guests.

If anyone wants to find out more information about Lavender Cottage please check out this website http://www.sykescottages.co.uk/cottage/South-Wales-Pembrokeshire-Ferryside/Lavender-Cottage-29568.html

We love visiting here, it's such a beautiful, relaxing and welcoming place.

We fell in love with Ferryside the first time we visited it and we hope that visitors to Lavender Cottage will do too.

Until next time.
